Volunteering at Atholton Swim Club
Volunteering is easy, rewarding, and a great way to connect.
All members are expected to volunteer each year to help keep the pool running smoothly.
We have many volunteer opportunities:
- The two largest volunteer events are the Spring clean up and then closing down the pool for the winter.
- Throughout the summer, we need volunteers to help with social events and we may send out a special request when the need arises.
- If you have a skill that you feel will help run the pool more smoothly, please let us know.
- We also have volunteer positions on the Board of Directors. To learn more about positions available, please Contact Us.
Snack Bar
Snack Bar Volunteer Manager
The Snack Bar Volunteer Manager is a leadership role that goes beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of an attendant. In addition to supporting snack bar operations and interacting with members, this role helps coordinate the volunteer schedule through SignUpGenius, keeps an eye on inventory, and ensures the snack bar stays organized and well-stocked. As a key liaison between snack bar volunteers and the board member, the manager helps communicate needs, share updates, and keep everything running smoothly. It’s a great opportunity to build leadership, organization, and communication skills while playing an important role in the overall success of the swim club.
Snack Bar Attendant
Volunteering as a snack bar attendant is a great way to get involved in the swim club while gaining hands-on experience. You’ll interact with members, handle basic transactions, and help keep things running smoothly during busy pool hours. It also gives you valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of the club, helping you understand how everything works behind the scenes. This experience is a strong stepping stone for future roles at the swim club, building responsibility, communication skills, and confidence.
